Overview

"Friday's Wives," a classic 1980s drama, coined the catchphrase "Kintsuma" (golden wife) and sparked a social phenomenon known as "Kintsuma Syndrome." It depicts the human drama that unfolds among three couples of the baby boomer generation who live in terraced houses and detached houses in a new town on the outskirts of Tokyo. The family, whose foundation is the smallest connection between husband and wife, faces pitfalls... The dangerous relationships of extramarital affairs and cheating wives have captured the attention of women, and many women identify with the three couples featured and the personal relationships surrounding them.
