In the Philippines, the five Kiwis experience what goes into the production of costume jewellery and the desperate lengths some people go to in order to survive.

The five are in Sri Lanka and about to experience their most physically challenging role so far - mining underground for gems.

An idyllic tea plantation in Sri Lanka's highlands is this week's setting however it’s anything but idyllic for the group.

6. Episode 6

The five are in Bangladesh - their mission is to immerse themselves in the cotton and garment industries.

7. Episode 7

It's the final assignment for Reality Trip and the five Kiwis are continuing their investigation into Bangladesh's massive garment industry.

Overview

Reality Trip is a documentary series (seven one hour episodes), which takes five young Kiwi consumers to three different countries to see where the products they buy come from – computers, bananas, costume jewellery, clothes, and tea. They’re products most New Zealanders buy without thinking about their origins and who makes them.
