Terry is determined to find a job and get out from under her father's roof; The Cannon tries to help the Angles overcome their fear of being hit by the ball; secrets surround an unused bedroom and bathroom in the house.

3. Play Hard or Go Home

Terry looks for a girlfriend for the Cannon, thinking it would make him be nicer to her and the Angles; Danny decides to share his feelings with Vanessa.

4. The Change Up

Danny changes his persona after the Cannon tells him that girls are attracted to bad boys; Terry plans a wild night out with Lulu.

The Cannon and Dick try to sabotage Terry's relationship with a new guy; Danny lets other kids cheat off his test.

The Cannon and Dick are sent to sensitivity training after an incident at practice; when Dudley's parents forget to pick him up, Terry takes a special interest in him.

11. Color Barrier

The league suspends the Cannon from the team after video surfaces of him being insensitive towards the kids. Terry has to change her father's old school ways of thinking and try to re-unite him with the team.

12. Sports Therapy

Danny is excited to team up with Vanessa for a school project, but when Vanessa’s mom overhears The Cannon’s expletive-laden rant, she tells her daughter to request a new partner.

Terry tries to help a love-struck Lulu catch the attention of Patrick, the new doctor in town...but it seems he has more in common with tomboy Terry than with girly Lulu.

Overview

Terry Gannon Jr. was an All Star softball player until life threw her a couple curve balls: a baby, a lost college scholarship and a loser for a husband. After striking out on her own, Terry and her son Danny move in with her estranged father, Terry Sr. aka "The Cannon," an opinionated, beer-guzzling, ex-athlete who never quite made the cut as a single father or professional baseball player. When Terry reluctantly offers to coach Danny and a group of other athletically-challenged hopefuls, her past comes rushing back.
